Our Story

“The Beginning”

Our journey began in 2013, as the passion project of our founder, Sam Taylor. After the booming success of his first venture, The Libertine Cocktail Bar, Sam saw an opportunity to extend his vision of a vibrant and unique culinary experience right next door, on Butcher Row. And thus, our restaurant was born. Inspired by his extensive travels through Australia and Asia, Sam envisioned an eatery that encapsulated the diverse and flavorful cuisines of the Pacific Rim, all served up with a healthy dose of genuine warmth and exemplary service. This vision materialized into a delightful culinary journey that has since been transporting the good folks of Shropshire to far-off exotic locales, one bite at a time.

“The Present”

Over the years, our palette has broadened, expanding to include the bold and dynamic flavors of The Americas, Europe, and Africa. Our talented kitchen team, each with their own globe-trotting experiences, infuse personal touches and flavors into our eclectic menu. This commitment to culinary exploration has not gone unnoticed, and we are proud to have been the recipients of an AA Rosette for the past five consecutive years, a testament to our commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional dining experiences. Beyond awards, we are honored to have become a cherished part of the local community, embraced by Shropshire’s discerning diners who have continuously shown us love and support.

“The FuTURe”

As we look to the horizon, our enthusiasm and commitment to creating remarkable dining experiences remain as fervent as ever. We pledge to continue our exploration of global cuisines, seeking out the freshest ingredients, the most vibrant flavors, and the most innovative culinary techniques. With an ever-changing menu that shifts with the seasons, we aim to bring an exciting array of dishes to your table. Our journey may have started with Sam Taylor and his love for Pacific Rim cuisine, but it continues with you, our esteemed guests, as we look forward to bringing you the world's culinary best, right here in Shropshire.
